Question
When drawing a wall using the wall tool, it will not complete it's loop. It just leaves a purple/pink outline.
Solutions
As silly as it sounds, when you complete your wall outline make sure you double-click with your mouse to complete the draw.
Click on the Sync Material button, and also ensure you have the latest version of PlusSpec installed. Click Here to view instructions in re-installing or updating PlusSpec.
Ensure Dynamic components are turned on. You can do this by opening your extensions manager, then toggling the Enabled button for PlusSpec, on and off. If you have SketchUp 16, you can do this by un-ticking and ticking PlusSpec.
In SketchUp go to View > Toolbars > and ensure Dynamic Components are checked.
If you are from Europe, or if you use commas "," instead of decimals "." for measurements, follow the below instructions:
For Windows/PC Users:
- Go to the Control Panel and select Language
- Select Change date, time, or number formats from the menu on the left
- Click Additional settings... at the bottom of the new window
- Make sure the Decimal symbol field has a decimal (".") and not a comma (",").
- Click Apply, OK and exit
- Go back to SketchUp and try to draw a wall (make sure not to use a comma when entering specific measurements via keyboard for the wall length).
For Mac Users:
- Go to the Apple Menu > System Preferences
- Then. click on Language and Region
- At the bottom-right of the pop-up screen, click Advanced...
- Make sure the Decimal symbol field has a decimal (".")
- Click OK and exit
- Go back to SketchUp and try to draw a wall (make sure not to use a comma when entering specific measurements via keyboard for the wall length).
