Currently there is a way to reset all of the materials as if you received it from 'out of the box'.
In SketchUp if you go to Extension> PlusSpec> Restore Factory Defaults > Material Files & Default Options = Yes > Ok
Please note: That once you sync the user materials will return.
Alternatively you can toggle off user created materials by unchecking the box below in the dialog
